Dr. Shalonda Quinn, DPC*
Dr. Quinn has mastered her craft and trained a myriad of others along the way. Quinn has hosted (National and International) seminars in the following locations: Atlanta, GA, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Dallas & Houston, Texas, Los Angeles, CA, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, Jackson, MS and there are many many more locations where Quinn was a Co-host, trainer, and/or Panelist.
Dr. Quinn’s highest achievement thus far is receiving her Doctoral in Cosmetology. For 15 years, she has owned and operated Pure Illusionz, a multicultural upscale salon. Quinn also offers her own styling product, hair line, and customized wigs. Dr. Shalonda Quinn’s talents have awarded her with many accolades over the years. She is the Founder of Pretty Pink and Pampered which is a non-profit organization that holds an annual event for cancer patients and survivors. The following are free services rendered for the cancer patients and survivors: facials, professional makeup, massages, hair styles, etc. Most of the participants in this event have gone through or are going through some form of chemotherapy; one of the main effects of Chemotherapy is that it makes the hair fall out. Because of this Dr. Quinn makes customized wigs of varies styles and shades so the ladies can look and feel beautiful.
October 2019, Quinn was awarded “The Proclamation Award” from Chokwe Lumumba, the Mayor of Jackson, MS. Other recent awards received would include “The Outstanding Professional” and “Hip-Hop Culture: Hair Boss of the Year 2019”.
Dr. Quinn is truly an Business Icon in Beauty and hair Industry and a pillar of our community.
